The Essential Oil Travel Kit
Have you ever wondered what essential oils to bring with you when you travel? Here is a suggested list:
- Lavender
- Tea Tree
- White Thyme
- Lemon
- A ‘flex’ oil
Oils 1 through 4 are the must-haves for any travel kit. The 5th oil or ‘flex’ oil is up to you. It can be a blend of different oils, your favourite scent or an oil best suited to your destination and type of travel.
Examples: a stress-relieving blend; jasmine; peppermint.
When packing an essential oil travel kit, make sure to use a see through plastic bag that can be sealed. This ensures it is airport security friendly and any ‘spillage’ won’t spoil the rest of your packed items.
Most essential oils come in bottles of 5 mL so they automatically comply with the current flying regulations (i.e. 100 mL maximum allowable size for liquids in carry-on baggage.)
An empty spray bottle is another useful item to have. You can purchase these in a 30 mL size. It is suggested to pack this in your checked luggage so as not to arouse suspicion.
