Wellness Wednesday – Keeping your cool

Things have cooled down here since the recent heat wave. Here are some other ways to ‘keep your cool’ naturally.

  • Mix a few drops of peppermint essential oil with lotion and apply on the skin of your arms, legs and torso.
  • Soak a scarf with water, wring out then fold scarf to wear as a bandana or headband. If you’d prefer a dry scarf then place in fridge and use when cold. Make sure to fold the scarf first.
  • Carry a hand-held fan with you and use as needed. There are many options on the market nowadays.
  • And if all else fails, find some shady trees to hang out under during the heat of the day.
