Currently on assignment! And I have just enough time to post a quick list of healthy vegetarian snacks I pack whenever I travel:
- candied ginger – it aids digestion and quells motion sickness
- low sugar protein bars – for those times you can’t find a decent plant-based protein meal
- low sugar instant oatmeal – all you need is some hot water, a bowl and spoon; always a tasty and filling snack
- nuts – a package of savoury organic nuts or single serving sizes of nut butter; goes well with the instant oatmeal, some local bread or with plain rice and vegetables
- vitamins galore – for everyday of travel I have a multivitamin, calcium tablet and iron pill; I also bring some probiotic and omega oil supplements
