Aromatherapy

Waitangi in Vain

Today is the day! February 6th is New Zealand’s national day and Bob Marley’s birthday. Here’s some WWT suggestions on how to mark this occasion:

Fitness
A yoga practice set to Bob Marley music and some easy skanking (i.e. dancing to reggae music).

Fragrance
Manuka essential oil, leptospermum scoparium, is indigenous to New Zealand and has numerous therapeutic benefits; the main ones being anti-fungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. The best comes from the north-eastern part of the North Island. If your travels to New Zealand have you in Gisborne, keep heading north until you get to the East Cape.
Some suggestions for use: a few drops in your shampoo to help combat dandruff; in a lotion to use on Athletes foot; as an ingredient in a healing skin balm.
