Food
The province of Alberta has made itself rich and debt-free through the oil and gas industry. The food can be as oily as the muck that comes from the tar sands. Though it is becoming more possible to eat healthy and vegetarian in Calgary (The Coup; Community Natural Foods) this is a place where the indulgences are most memorable. Try the following for a fix of sugar and fat:
Crave Cupcakes and/or Bliss Cupcakes; Jelly Modern Doughnuts; and Cookie Mama for the best gluten-free brownie I have ever experienced.
