The Tide is High

June 23rd 2013 marks the ‘perigee moon‘, the time when the full moon is closest to the earth. It has also been termed a ‘super moon’.

The moon has an effect on water and so a full moon is synonymous with higher tides. If you are travelling near water around this time bear this in mind.
